Brought car in after being told last service needed a new A/C only to be told next scheduling they were wrong and need to take to Auto-Electrician. Charged $180 for their error! Not Happy Jan!

Bought a AU falcon in January this year (3rd), happy with the car. I noticed on early March my car suddenly losing engine oil consistently. I went to Newspot service department on the 6 March showing my concern of this engine oil leak. I wasn't sure if the car was under warranty or not. After a phone call to his colleague who sold the car to me said that there was a 2 month warranty and I missed out. Disappointed but I accepted the situation, you can't help bad luck. Anyway I booked the car in that Thursday assessing the repair and costs. Brought the car in that day, checked it out finding a oil switch was faulty. To my relief I was worried this is going to cost me a lot of money. I spoke to the service person about the costs and he said to me that because I was just a few days over my warranty and I hadn't done much mileage we will not charge you. I was overwhelmed and grateful for their honesty for looking after a customer like me. I recommend if your honest with them they will look after you, regards Gary Osborne.

I've asked for a reverse mirror to be replaced (as it fell off) and for a quote for the roof racks. After giving me a price for roof racks I didn't want to go ahead. After few weeks I've been informed that the mirror came and it is ready to be installed. I left the car to fix the mirror and when I came back they've installed the roof racks. I never asked them to do the roof racks. Likely they didn't damage the car while installing and later uninstalling them.

Now looking at close to $1000 of repairs, for replacement of all four axle arms, power steering belt, and we STILL have to jumpstart it every time we want to drive it to the mechanics to get fixed what should have been found in that 'service' they advertised.

Would have posted this on their Facebook page to warn their potential customers to steer clear... but they've hidden their reviews from their page, what a surprise.

Got van, leaking fluid. After numerous unreturned calls to Newspot, they finally agreed to take a look at it, after admitting it hadn't been serviced by them, as it was apparently serviced just before it was brought into their ownership and was 'all good'. We were also informed that we didn't 'have a leg to stand on'.

Update to my post. Hope Newspot Motors enjoys that $180 as McLaren Vale Auto-Electrician and Mechanics was able to fix my car. Guess what, it wasn't an electrical fault. It was something Newspot mechanics could've fixed, but being such incompetent mechanics, they didn't. Best part is, the mechanic at McLaren Vale only charged me $185. To think he found the fault immediately and fixed it for $5 more than Newspot. My car is a Fleet car so I have warned the fleet company to warn off possible clients to Newspot Motors. Even the head manager hasn't had the balls to respond to my email questioning the mechanics skills and abilities.
